How to read a part number. The prefix is the series, the four digits after the first dash encode the cutting diameter in thousandths of a millimetre (for example 1000 is 1.000 mm), and any trailing digits identify the flute or variant. The full geometry is written as D1 × flute length × shank × overall length.
